

ID WORLD Abu Dhabi 2012, the fifth annual EMEA summit on security, mobility and traceability, opened its doors for the first time at its new prestigious government venue, the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR). The event, hosted by WIse Media and organized by Mesago Messe Frankfurt, was held over two days under the patronage of H.H. Sheik Saif Bin Zahyed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the UAE and endorsed by the Emirates Identity Authority and the European Commission, with the ECSSR as supporting organization.

An all-time record attendance of more than 500 participants and a distinguished line up of top drawer speakers at the fifth annual EMEA summit on security, mobility and traceability, stamped the seal of success on ID WORLD Abu Dhabi 2012, which opened its doors in the UAE on March 18, under the patronage of UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheik Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The event was hosted by the UAE government in its most prestigious location dedicated to the monitoring of facts happening inside and outside the country, feeding information and critical alerts to all ministries: the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research.
Endorsed by the European Commission and the Emirates Identity Authority, ID WORLD Abu Dhabi presented its unique formula of high-profile visionary statements and technology updates challenged in a public debate, offering an exclusive mix of presentations where existing and emerging identification programs provided the background to broader discussions about the world’s future infrastructures for citizen-centric services, as well as secure transactions, mobility and supply chains.

Wise Media’s fourth annual EMEA summit on security, mobility and traceability, ID WORLD Abu Dhabi 2011, opened its doors in the UAE on April 3, under the patronage of UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheik Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan and endorsed by the European Commission, the Emirates Identity Authority and Abu Dhabi Police.
ID WORLD Abu Dhabi was opened by an address from H.H. Sheik Saif, the UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, followed by an address from the Honorable Rehman Malik, Minister of Interior Pakistan, who actively contributed to the conference on April 4, when a protocol meeting among the ministers was organized on the occasion of the event.
Over the two days from April 3 & 4, top-drawer protagonists inspired a vibrant elite of decision makers. ID WORLD Abu Dhabi 2010: outstanding success of leading regional EMEA summit in auto-ID, security and mobility | Wise Media’s annual EMEA summit on automatic identification and wireless technologies, ID WORLD Abu Dhabi 2010, opened its doors in the UAE on May 3 and 4, under the patronage of H.H. Sheik Saif Bin Zahyed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, endorsed by the European Commission, Emirates Identity Authority, and Abu Dhabi Police.
ID WORLD Abu Dhabi brought together government representatives, law enforcement and border control authorities, cargo and passenger carriers, hubs and transportation authorities, logistics and postal services operators, auto id vendors and security providers, to discuss strategies in enhancing the reliability of our security and ICT infrastructures as well as plans in adopting smart technologies to achieve security and mobility.
High ranking and influential speakers from around the region included Dr Ali Al Khouri, Acting General Director of the Emirates Identity Authority, the Hon. Suvi Lindén, Finnish Minister of Communications, Dr Mohammad Benten, President and CEO of Saudi Post and Prince Uche Secondus, Board Chairman of the Nigerian National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
